Al Wasl Plaza

Leaders of the UAE attended the opening ceremony of Al Wasl Plaza, the “beating heart" of the 2020 World Expo in Dubai. The steel trellis that makes up the world’s largest 360-degree projection dome is fitted with more than 200 projectors and is wide enough to fit two Airbus A380s. Al Wasl – meaning connection in English – is the World’s Fair centrepiece, connecting the districts, and will host its main ceremonies. The Expo itself will kick off in October this year. We provided MEP, Security and ICT services.

Here's some footage of how it all looks:

Leeds Building Society HQ

We worked client-side on this ‘90s office block refurbishment to provide a new HQ for Leeds Building Society. Services included MEP, Sustainability, Acoustics, Fire Engineering and Vertical Transportation. We were the client’s sustainability champion and were instrumental in moving the building away from fossil fuel and taking it down an all-electric route. This is in line with the climate emergency and air quality agenda in Leeds, and takes advantage of their green electricity contract, as well as the ever-decreasing carbon content of the grid. Our Leeds office are also doing the detailed MEP design for the appointed sub-contractor.

We got some pretty great feedback from the Chief Operating Officer at Leeds Building Society (above).

Brunel Road warehouse

After working on this project for around two years, we’ve now completed Brunel Road for McKay Securities. This development is a speculative 100,000 sq ft storage and distribution facility with 12,000 sq ft of supporting office areas.
