A CHRISTMAS APPEAL

The Glasgow office is having a toy collection for Barnado’s to give the UK’s most vulnerable children the gift of Christmas. In aid of this, they hosted a coffee morning and a luxury hamper raffle that raised £256.

AN OVER-SIZED CHEQUE FOR CHARITY

After a fantastic year fundraising, the Birmingham and Manchester offices handed over a tremendous £3,610 (£4,050.05 inc. gift aid) to the Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. This success comes after a year of hiking, biking and Tough Mudder-ing among other events.

BUSINESS COME DANCING

Magdalena Szala has recently taken part in Business Come Dancing. She put her best foot forward by dancing a fast and fun tap routine. The evening raised more than £7,000 for the Pavilion Dance South West charity, which is dedicated to transforming communities through dance.

TIME TO REFLECT

A selection of people from our Bristol office have started having weekly meditation sessions using the app Headspace. Together, through using mindfulness, they are aiming to improve their mental health.

BOURNEMOUTH AND POOLE?

Our coastal office is having a Pool competition. Various members of the team have chosen to participate, and it is proving to be fiercely competitive. The first of the semi-finals will be between Mark Wilkinson and Brian Farrington. Keep an eye out for the next edition of the newsletter where we will announce the winner.

OXFORDSHIRE MIND

Our Oxford office had the charity Mind in to deliver a seminar on mental health and wellbeing. The seminar was to encourage open and frank conversations around the topic.

THE GREAT CHEESECAKE-OFF

A recent cheesecake bake-off in our Manchester office saw Eleanor Gray crowned the winner. A highly contested competition, and a very worthy winner.

RUN GLASGOW, RUN

Our Scottish office is currently training for the Glasgow Half Marathon in aid of Barnardo’s. Together, they are running every Friday on their lunchbreak.

FETCH!

Our people in Plymouth have been making the most of the weather by taking their dogs for a glorious beach walk. Six dogs and 11 humans scampered along the beach chasing stones, enjoying some fresh sea air and great company out of the office.

THE BIG BUILD

Our Leeds office recently look part in the DIY SOS Children in Need special ‘The Big Build’ for a charity called Nightsafe. This fantastic cause supports the young homeless people in the area and the project aimed to produce a safe place for them to stay. You can watch the episode on the iPlayer here.

A COCKTAIL-MAKING MASTERCLASS

Members of our Bournemouth, Bristol and London offices recently had a cocktail making masterclass with Cast Consultancy. Along with the delicious drinks, this session was a great opportunity to all get together and strengthen relationships.

A SUPER-SECRET SANTA

Our Oxford office has joined with Blake Morgan and other local companies to take part in the Oxfordshire Social Services ‘Secret Santa’. This year, more than 1,000 children have been bought for and will receive their Christmas wishes on Christmas Day.

SENSATIONAL SIMON

Simon French recently took part in the ‘Hugs from Henry Strictly Ball’ where he, along with a group of other business men and women, took part in a dancing competition. Together, they raised £15,000 – a truly amazing result.

GOAL-ORIENTED

Our Manchester office recently took part in the Gardiner & Theobald 5-a-side Football Tournament. With 15 teams across the industry and more than 75 attendees to the event, it was a huge success. Congratulations to the team Michael Lecky, Jack Brown, Alec Storey, Gavin Blakemore, Phil Argile, Ade Alabi & Ross Bailey who made it to the final.

A FAMOUS FACE

The Plymouth office recently attended a Building Forum Dinner for Devon and Cornwall with guest speaker Angela Rippon.
