An update following office visits.
Justin Spencer

In the last edition of Insider, we highlighted some of the positive stories we heard during our office visits, and shared some of the reasons why we are a brilliant business.
We also committed to share our response to some of the areas for improvement that you told us about during those visits. We have now looked at these alongside the Engagement Survey themes and our analysis of employee retention feedback. This has identified four key areas; how we support career development, how we manage workload, how we help you to feel connected and how our IT infrastructure supports you.
1. How we support career development.
As a first step, and in response to your feedback, we will be revisiting our Career Paths Framework through 2026 with the aim to set clearer principles for fairness and consistency across all roles and disciplines within the firm.
2. How we manage workload.
We will be reviewing how work is distributed and managed firmwide. We want to identify key pressure points and look for ways to reduce them. This area is complex and relies on many factors, but over time our goal is to ensure a more sustainable workload that balances people and performance, with tools and systems that support this outcome.
3. How we help you to feel connected.
Communication that creates trust and understanding is key, at both a firmwide level and within teams. It helps us to all pull together to achieve our shared goals. We will be looking at how we can introduce more ways for you to get further context, share ideas, ask questions and have more open conversations. One example of this will be the introduction of more regular firmwide calls from January 2026.
4. How our IT infrastructure supports you.
In response to your feedback around IT onboarding and day-to-day support, our Business Systems team are now working with Corporate IT to look at where improvements can be made, action plan, conduct regular service reviews, and track progress.
The next steps.
These four areas cover many aspects of how we work, and we want to put time, effort and thought into any improvements we introduce. This means that although there may be opportunities for some quick tangible wins in the short-term, our focus will be on sustainable long-term progress. We’ll continue to keep you updated about developments in these areas.
Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback. It continues to help us shape our response to ensure any improvements we make have impact.
